A $250 dollar disappointment. We visit NYC 1-2 times/year and always enjoyed an incredible experience at Bar Americain when we were in town. My husband and son are in town this weekend, and they made a point of making a reservation at Gato to enjoy another memorable meal. You should see the picture of the dish-the Charred Beef was a small scoop of Farro and 3 slices of NY Strip, all for $42 dollars! Very good food and atmosphere.
Fabulous food - loved both the octopus and srambled eggs appies - and the halibut was heavenly. Need to call their barman for the name and recipe for their vodka grapefruit cocktail as that too was superb!
Augusto was an amazing waiter, service was impeccable. The food was on point, every dish packed a ton of flavors. We ordered quite a bit of food and he flowed it perfectly. We never were waiting for him to check on us but he wasn’t overbearing. All around 10 stars!! Going to be dreaming about all the amazing dishes we had last night for weeks!

Great food and great service. All expectations Full feel. Great list of wines and good drinks from the bar. Appetizers were excelent, main dish and dessert amazing.
