HISTORY The Lincoln causeway was named after Merv Lincoln. Merv was a 1500 metre runner ♂️, plus a finalist at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics where he placed 12 th. He was only the third Australian to run ♂️ a mile in under four minutes and named among the world's best 10 runners ♂️ in the mid 1950s. In 1958 he took silver after fellow Australian Herb Elliott in the Cardiff Empire Games. Mervyn also ran ♂️ in the Rome Olympics before retiring from running ♂️ in 1960. Lovely park and gardens. Lovely Woodcraft on site.
Have not been for awhile. I attended a Flying Fruit Fly event called Borderville. Which was outstanding to say the least. From the word go staff made me feel more than welcome. Plenty of bathrooms, bar and parking. Plenty of trees for shade during Summer and ensuite parking. Worth a 1000 stars.
