If someone is locked in after you close, you cannot charge them $50 to be let out. That is attempted kidnapping. What kind of company does that? They are lucky they didn’t get a felony charge.
This storage facility has been a nightmare for our family and shows a longstanding pattern of neglect and unsafe conditions. I discovered a mouse infestation in my unit that caused extensive damage to my belongings, including irreplaceable sentimental items. I was forced to clean every item individually and throw away nearly half of what I owned.
