Worst medical centre. I have been going there since I was 16. 10 years. And in the past 2 years it’s become so bad. Today I went in in a lot of pain and asked to see any doctor and was told only 4 people were ahead of me that it would be about 30 mins wait. I waited an hour to then ask how much longer and be told there was 3 people in front of me. I arrived 20mins before they opened and was second in line for bulk billing. 1.5 hours later and am still waiting. Just asked the receptionist and she said, unfortunately, if others call for an appointment, they will get priority and jump un front. What kind of system is this?? Is this normal?
Wait times can unfortunately be quite long at times, and I do think the practice could improve communication around changes to opening hours, particularly by ensuring the website and signage are kept up to date. That said, I’m still giving Gateway Medical 5 stars because having an accessible bulk-billing medical service in the area is incredibly valuable, and I really appreciate the care provided by the team.
