A couple bad reviews means nothing. This place is Amazing. Very comfortable, books and movies. Great food. Most of all, absolutely amazing staff!
Gateway’s quality of care has noticeably declined over the years. Unless you have a strong referral or are in a life altering severe crisis, you won’t be prioritized. I spent 45 minutes, at least, speaking with Chris and clearly explained that I do not have bipolar disorder but that something was not right and that I did not feel safe. Yet my chart now states that I came in with concerns related to bipolar—notes written by Chris—which makes it feel like active listening was lacking during that conversation. Absolutely the worst place to have the stay when going through a mental break down...staff friendly enough if they can take themselves away from social media long enough.. ZERO PROGRAMS AVAILABLE DURING THE DAY, EXCEPT DVD'S,! So all you do is drink coffee until 4pm, no caffeine after that, thus being forced to use "free"time to COLOR! I left, surly rested BC of meds. However, more a mess then when I came in! Where is the funding? Where is the human connect? Smh...I understand small towns, but this is ridiculous.
