RecommendedI just had my first appointment with Dr Richard Curtis in the office. I had virtual with him one time prior to this visit as I am a new patient. I really liked his approach to my issues and I feel hopeful again that he can help me as I have been dealing with GI issues for over 4 years non stop with no real resolution. My GI Dr prior to Dr Curtis did a good job and ran just about every test to rule things out but I think a fresh set of eyes and advice can only help me. I had been having digestive issues for almost a year. I was afraid to eat out or travel. My doctor at BWH ran test but was baffled. I wanted a second opinion. I met with Dr. Curtis who ran more test and put me on a medication. I checked in with him frequently to see how the medication was working. He always returned my phone calls. We finally got the dosage right and I was able to travel to Egypt and enjoy the trip without worrying. I feel like I have gotten my life back.
Dr Denmark is calm kind thorough knowledgeable professional compassionate. She is a great listener and is able to tease out symptoms from this very forgetful patient. I know I am safe in her care.
I always feel welcome. All concerns and questions are treated thoroughly and with respect. I have not experienced anything but normal wait times. I enjoy my appointments with my gastroenterologist .
I highly recommend Dr. Bailen. He listens to you and is compassionate. He explains procedure and is thorough wonderful doctor. He has a great staff and very organized. I would highly recommend Dr. Bailen and the staff.

Peggy out front was absolutely phenomenal in welcoming me and making me feel at ease before my appointment. Phenomenal. I am awful with names, however the two other front desk employees were just full of smiles and made me feel comfortable. The nursing staff out back were all courteous and professional. Dawn and Andrea, who were my nurses were so professional and helpful and compassionate. And Dr. Bailen was very professional and came back and explained everything when procedure was completed.
