Dr. Julie Spivack and her staff are always knowledgeable, patient, responsive and willing to help. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone that is looking for a physician that is more than just a doctor; they have made me feel like family. It continues to be a great experience with each visit.
I cannot praise Dr. Kenneth Mauer enough. He is extremely careful and proportionate, yet knows when to act. Last year his judgment saved me from a dangerous situation: Even though the biopsy report from an upper endoscopy came back negative, he wasn’t comfortable with the results; so he decided to repeat the endoscopy much earlier than the usual one or two years. I've been going to Dr. Woods for at least 2 years now and he's treated my mother for at least 15. I highly recommend him, he's a great doctor and he's very easy to talk to, especially with a disease like crohns which can be very hard to talk about. He was so much help when my insurance company refused to start me on biologics and wanted to keep me on steroids to see if that could help. 13 years ago this month, Dr. Mauer diagnosed me with Celiac Disease. For 13 years, I have never been more satisfied with my care. He truly outshines any other doctor I've seen. He really cares about his patients. Thank you Dr. Mauer for all you do for me. Happy diagnosiversary!
Dr. Mauer helped advise me during a difficult time. He was available for phone calls at random hours of the day and was always patient, kind and understanding. He said he was giving me the same advice he'd give his own daughter. Would highly recommend!
