Gaslamp Quarter is a big historical building exhibit with 94 buildings mostly from the late 1800's. All have historical plaques on them. Parking can be an issue on weekends. Lots of partners weekend nights. Tons of restaurants and bars. Haunted San Diego Gaslamp Tours many of these buildings with guides in period costumes. Great history takes you back in time.
