Life threatening - my "textbook perfect" procedure very nearly cost me my life not once but three times. Internal bleeding, numerous blood transfusions, emergency ambulance transport, major life saving surgery (not by Vitale), serious infection and stays in intensive care - thank God and my family that I survived. the one star rating is because I was required to choose - there is no chance that I would recommend Dr. Vitale ever.
I have known Dr. Vitale since 1993. He is my pancreas doctor. He is a very friendly and awesome doctor. I would recommend him to all my family and friends.

Very good. He is caring, very intelligent & expert in his field of medicine.
I am 5 yrs pancreatic cancer free thanks to this wonderful man.Although he is very straight forward he is very compassionate, just ask my family. He has given me the opportunity to watch my now 11 year old grand daughter grow and he has given me time with my 16 month old grandson. I owe the fact that I am still among the living to him and God.
I had a rather complicated gallbladder removal. I cannot express how fortunate I was to have Dr. Vitale as my surgeon. His "bedside" manner could not have been more like a loved one. I just wish I could have Dr. Vitale as my Internist.
Dr. Vitale is a very caring dr.,he shows compassion and concern for his patients. I hve been his patient for several years and highly recommend him.
Dr. Vitale performed a procedure on me to break up and remove 10 large gallstones that had created a blockage in my small intestine. .. surgery went well, he also had to place a stent in me during surgery & I will have to go back to have it removed.. every time I saw Dr. Vitale, he had a crew of residents with him, he is a busy man, but he is a good doctor/surgeon.
Dr. Vitale is a very caring person. He made me feel special-like I was his only patient. He even said prayers with me in several occasions.
