Well, I tried to get a new-patient PCP appointment with Dr. Cantrell after seeing so many favorable reviews. He seemed to be a great match based on our similar age, mutual interest in national parks, and other factors...but I was unable to get past the front desk. The agent very awkwardly but firmly insisted I verify previous addresses where I have rented, when I was under different insurance, without a clear reason offered for the interrogation. In 50+ years, I have had many physicians, specialists, providers for myself& my kids. None of which are near Dr. Cantrell's level of competency. I'm so grateful for his vast knowledge, experience and ability to collaborate with me finding solutions with my limited insurance coverage. I'm always impressed with his effective follow-up, detailed visit summaries and accuracy beyond the in-office visit. Thank you Dr. Cantrell!
Let me start by saying that the doctor is very kind and I’m sure a wonderful physician for patients with straightforward or common issues, things like colds, infections, or general prescriptions. However, if you’re dealing with a more complex or chronic condition, I’m not sure I could recommend him. I’ve seen many great doctors over the years, including functional medicine specialists, and having an MD who takes a comprehensive approach is very important to me as I navigate an autoimmune disease. Dr Cantrell is very caring and knowledgeable. I have fibromyalgia and other medical conditions and he uses critical thinking to map out the best treatments. I can tell he genuinely cares about my well-being.
