Dr. Hoffman was personable, considerate, informative and humorous. Since I am of a “certain age” it is recommended to have my first colonoscopy. My initial consult was easy and I felt valued by Dr. Hoffman as a patient- he didn’t rush the appointment, he made sure I had answers to questions. I haven’t had the pleasure yet of the procedure or the often dreaded prep but I know this office will be respectful and compassionate when the time comes.
I never spend time writing reviews, however, the absolute horrible experience my mother had in this "doctor's office" merits a review for others to BEWARE. My mother in severe 10/10 pain and , acute infection came in as an emergency appt to see Dr Hoffman. She waited FOR HOURS despite repeatedly being told, she would be seen right away. From 1:30pm until 5pm my mother sat and waited in pain. Finally at 5pm, they told her that they would only see her if she paid $450. WHAT?! ***Warning - Read before paying $450 for an Emergency Appointment*** As I left Dr. Hoffman's office $450 lighter, still in pain, and without having received any actual treatment, I couldn’t help but feel like I’d been taken scammed. My experience with Dr. Gary Hoffman was extremely disappointing. He spent very little time with me, offered no clear explanation of the problem, and didn’t provide any practical guidance on how to address or fix the issue. He prescribed a medication cream for what is clearly an internal problem, showing a lack of understanding or care about my condition.
