Always takes the time to listen, never judges, and develops a relationship with her patients. We have been seeing her for 14 years, and she still remembers our first visit! She is great with kids that have severe medical issues.
I would advise anyone to NOT use Dr. Gary. In the years I’ve known her through my stepchildren I have never failed to be shocked by her bedside manner and difficulty to deal with. At one point the office attempted to deny us a referral for psychiatric care and testing simply because it wasn’t what she would personally do in our situation. The child turned out to be autistic. While Dr. Gary is nice enough to my children, her bedside manner towards parents is unacceptable. She is condescending and makes you feel like a bad parent because she will point out everything you are not doing right...from not using hand sanitizer to eating a piece of white bread for Pete's sake. I have experienced this behavior from her over the course of 9 years, and I am at the point that if she is the only one available, we (like others) will refuse and go to urgent care instead.
Dr. Gary has been our son's doctor for all of his 14 years. She has always been very polite and explains everything that is going on. She gives us plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Our son feels very comfortable with her.
She talked down to me, my husband and our 16-year-old daughter during the visit. Lectured us on eating and nutrition. Our daughter had a virus, it's been very hot and she's been playing a lot of sports. She wasn't hungry for two days only. Mainly we wanted to make sure my daughter didn't have mono because she was so fatigued. Dr Gary is rude. We've taken our children to Dr Smith for 20 years. If I call the office and the only option is Dr Gray, we'll go to an urgent care clinic
