I have been a patient of Dr. Garuba for the past 3 years. He genuinely cares about his patients and always tries to get to the root cause of issues. No he doesn't randomly prescribes medications. He wants to get to the bottom of why something is happening, exploring different directions. He's very thorough in his approach.

My husband and I have both been patients of Dr. Garuba for about 9 years. He is thorough, expert and honest. He has pursued any problem he sees any evidence of to get to the root of the problem. Always. He always asks if I have any questions, until I have no more questions. He always says, it's my body and I know it best, and should tell him what I think. And I do. He is top notch and I feel bad for any who see him but doesn't listen to his advice.
Dr. Garuba was my doctor for years and still sees my husband. I wish Dr. Garuba were still my doctor because he is caring and covers all the facts with you. I am an obese woman who has several health complications. He helped me to get a major portion of my weight off and made me realize there isn't an easy cure for a lifetime of poor choices. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Garuba's for about 6 years. He is the best doctor I have ever had, and I've had some good ones. He is kind, patient, and will answer every question you ask and always finish with "any other questions". He is thorough and listens to his patients. We refer everyone we know to Dr. Garuba. Dr Garuba has been mine, my wife's, and childrens primary care physician for over 10 years. We all place entire trust in Dr. Garuba's ability to guide us in our healthcare decisions. He is very thorough with his exams, physicals, and makes sure he understands my complaint. He takes time to make sure we fully understand all options, and potential problems with a treatment program. He is compassionate, well versed, and dedicated to his professional ability to perform at the highest level.
Be careful what type of documents you give him he sheds everything without telling you!
I am so dissatisfied with Dr Garuba! I opted for weight loss surgery after he tried to schedule me to take all kids of medications for weight loss that failed. He said I would gain all my weight back. I had the surgery anyway because I didn't need his referral. I've been keeping it off. His office staff is terrible. Looking for a new provider that actually cares for his patients and not just about how many times in a month he can get a copay charge out of me.
