Building is literally falling apart - in some places the false ceiling has caved in to expose what looked to be asbestos. The bedding provided was disgusting and had suspicious stains. I’ve never had a more severe allergic reaction from a room cause of the dusty sheets and room. The lack of curtains in the Scottish summer when the sun rises at 4am seems minor in comparison to the other issues.

We booked a regular 2-night stay, not one of their workshop experiences. Bit of a haunted house vibe, to be honest, there was nobody at the reception when we arrived, but we found the key and invoice on the counter and a fellow guest gave us a bit of an introduction. They kept the lights on in the staircase at night, but off on the ground floor, so if you wanted to take smoke outside later than 10pm it was a bit creepy. Was here for maths camp this year and the year before and it was amazing! The staff are lively and food is really good! The dorms in the other building (not the hotel) are a little dirty and need a bit of work but perfectly suitable for a couple of days! Had so much fun! It's a lovely place!

We really enjoyed our stay at the gartmore. It has a lovely community atmosphere, as well as access to a quaint Hamlet and many options for a stroll. My only complaint would be no non-dairy milk at breakfast/ limited vegan options

Nice view and beautiful location. rooms need updating, very, dated and you can see they'be been using the same furnishing for a long time that the colours had faded on the curtains and cushion. Cleanliness could be improved and Wifi signal was very weak
