I’ve had 2 discectomy’s done by Dr. Banks. The first one lasted 7 years with no pain or any issues after the procedure. This was the most amount of time I’ve had with zero back pain and was extremely grateful and blessed to find a doctor who truly listened to me and took the time to dig into the issue. As of 11/26/24 Dr. Banks had to perform another revision discectomy procedure on the same L5 S1 location (at zero fault to the first surgery). I had back surgery about 15 years ago or so and Dr Banks did the surgery he took care of the problem and I've been doing really good all these years. Having the same problem again and hoping Dr Banks can fix it again. I totally trust him and not sure what I would have done if he would be retired or moved away.
Dr. Banks is one of the most arrogant, self righteous people ive ever come in contact with. Ive had 17 spinal surgeries, and he knows my condition. He refused to answer any questions, didnt ask if i had any questions, and refused to help me with even so much as a muscle relaxer. Even when hospitalized, and the MRI and CT scans both came back showing I had multiple herniated discs and a vertebrae fracture, he refused to help me and told me "he doesn't treat chronic pain" which, oddly enough, he had previously done 3 of my sur... read more
I had a similar experience to Juliana Smith's. I have been a nurse for many years and have worked around some good doctors and some with horrible bedside manners. I thought I had already seen the worst but I was wrong. The first thing he did when he entered the room was to comment that I have seen a lot of providers and had a lot of surgery through his office.
