Great place to live in a highly walkable area right between South End & Backbay. Joshua, Ailton & Carmichael from the management team are always helpful. Maintenance related issues are resolved quickly, even when they are minor. Building is a bit older, but that’s part of being in this area. The inside of the units are still modern and well maintained. The onsite gym is always clean, well maintained and also has a power rack & barbell.
A few days ago, I lost my phone and it was found by Joshua who is one of the property managers at Garrison Square. He went above and beyond to contact me and make sure it was returned safely. Joshua was incredibly kind and thorough throughout the process and even refused to accept my tip. That level of generosity and customer service is rare, especially for someone helping a complete stranger for no gain. Truly the kind of neighbor anyone would be lucky to have.
I just signed my lease, so I am clearly in the honeymoon phase. I chose it for a couple of reasons: amazing location, variety of apartments to rent over time, quality amenities, and underground parking within the building. I’m an empty nester moving back into the city and, Like the Russian hockey team in 1980 as quoted by Herb Brooks in the movie Miracle, my days of shoveling snow are over. The people working at the management office is absolutely horrible and not responsible. The rent was raised by 300$/ mo after one year and it’s literally not worth it. We were told that we had a lease violation without doing anything and when we tried to resolve it the management office kept saying they didn’t have time. The apartment maintenance will even come in to your unit without knocking. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE
