Celebrated my boyfriend's 54th birthday at this restaurant located in Coney Island. The food was absolutely amazing as well as our waiter Joe. The waiters singing happy birthday was a definite bonus as they brought a piece of chocolate mousse cake with a candle. Valet parking was an added bonus but should be optional.
I can't imagine how this pace had been I business this long. The food is ok, that's a matter of opinion. The SERVICE is the worst I have every encountered in any restaurant I have ever been in worldwide. They serve 2 people at the table, then walk away and serve other tables. Leaving half the table dumbfounded. God forbid to ask for olive oil to put on your dry salad.... You could choke!

Haven’t been there in years. Went to a shower there yesterday. I have to say the food was good . Not as good as before. Maybe cause it was a shower and lots of the same food had to come out at once. Eggplant was dry and appetizers were ok. Filet of sole was very good and roasted vegetables was good Service was good
Was there for a Bridal Shower. I was not impressed with the food or the service. That surprised me since I knew both to be very good in the past. Maybe the kitchen and staff were unprepared. I may return for the restaurant but will not hold an event there.
What’s not to like? The food,atmosphere and service are always top notch at Gargiulos. .
