My husband and I have visited Gardner's twice and most recently for our 30th anniversary. We were disappointed in our recent visit, the food was 'meh+' for a fine dining establishment. Perhaps we are a bit spoiled by the dining scene in Portland, Oregon where we moved from, but the menu didn't show any inspiration, and the quality of the ribeye was not as good as the 1/4 grass-fed beef in my freezer. Gardner's is simply rad. We were there for a special anniversary, and this place exceeded our expectations in both seevice and food. We were greeted warmly as we entered. They sat us in a cozy spot with curtains for privacy. A young (new?) server introduced herself and asked our preferred beverage. This was our first visit to this restaurant and it more than exceeded our expectations. The food and service are exceptional. We had the steamed clams, salmon and the scallops, we also had the asparagus and they had a special Strawberry Shortcake dessert with local berries! It was to die for! Thanks for making our 10th anniversary special.
So good, my favorite restaurant for special occasions. Drinks, food, appetizers, everything we have ever had has been amazing!
