expensive and unreliable Kept the car longer than they agreed to and charged substantially more money than estimate after raising price several times!
I went here yesterday afternoon to get my car inspected after my room mate recommended the place. It was Halloween and of course the last day of the month so there were a couple people in the waiting area with me enjoying my costume. About a half hour in I'm on my laptop doing homework (yes, they have wifi) and who walks in? A puppy! They have a shop dog! What a friendly creature. Not much long after his visit, my car was all set for another year. A swift transaction for this procrastinator.

Great automotive service prices and customer service. Took my honda to get a new subframe recently and Keith was great explaining everything he did to my car. A+++ all around. Keep up the good work.
I have been a customer for about 10 yrs, Jim was lead tech at protano's. When protano retired Jim and his wife started their own business down the road, great service!
Definitely 5 stars! Family-run business. They're polite helpful they have a tremendous sense of Integrity when dealing with their customers. Very professional. I have been going to them for a number of years now. I would recommend them to anybody who wants quality work on a vehicle. At a reasonable price. They do inspection stickers, brakes, alignments, oil changes, tune-up, all kinds of car repair and maintenance. They take the time to explain things to you, which I haven't had with a lot of garages. i've only been to these guys a few times but i think they do good work and their prices are fair. i generally go to Cranston's down the street, but had to go to Gardner when Cranston's couldn't fit me in and i needed work done that day. so yeah, good full service place. i appreciate it when a garage takes you back to show you what is actually going on with the car (where the coolant leak is, etc).

Honest people here. After a long string of issues with my car Gardner auto solved the problem that others couldn't and for a fair price to for major work. Staff is always friendly and actually explains things for you and helps you along the way. Some garages tell you all these extra things. Gardner just wants to help you and fix the issues you have. People locally have said its changed since the original owner retired but clearly his quality and customer service is still alive here with the girls in the front. I'm back on th... read more
