Fantastic place, great staff.
I've spent a lot of time in Newport and own a shop on Thames St. You'd be hard pressed to find a less hospitable place than Gardiner House. Our party of 6 adults was turned away, literally in the parking lot, for a few people wearing flip flops. All in collared shirts and just looking to enjoy a cocktail. We had just come from a wonderful lunch at 41 North. We’re not talking tank tops and backwards hats here. We were all dressed well and it was also 4pm. I literally own a shop a block away, there could not be a less hospitable place in newport than Gardiner house. I'm not sure who you think your clientele is, but i belong to 3 local yacht clubs, none of which create the atmosphere you do. Good luck.

This hotel is not only beautiful, but extremely comfortable and perfectly located for a weekend in Newport! Highly suggest even visiting or going for drinks. My whole family stayed and had a lovely weekend.
