I have been an apartment manager for 20+ yrs..... most of the time when somebody writes a bad review, it's because they were caught doing something wrong. there is more to being a good tenant than paying your rent on time. if you are aware of the drugs going around, then you must be involved in the purchasing and buying of such drugs...... I have lived in many apartments and it sounds like the manager doesn't let people run over her. you have to be tough and thick skinned to do the job they do... and as far as painting and shampooing carpets while a tenant has lived there for 10-20 yrs, I don't see that management is responsible for your house cleaning, if your too lazy to do it yourself, then hire someone to do it for you. unless it's in the ... read more
The person who wrote the above review must be high on some of the drugs that are so rampant at Garden Vale, mostly narcotics. Pills traded for food stamps, sex, and money. It is a ghetto in the center of a middle-class neighborhood. Maintenance is non-existent and band-aid repairs are the norm. Others have lived there for years without apartments being repainted and carpets not shampooed; some as long as 10-20 years. Gardenvale Apartments is a very family friendly place. Management is extremely nice! Apartments are very affordable and you definately get your moneys worth. I would defanitely give a great recommendation on the management and apartment complex itself!
The repairs are great and not eager to be fixed. You've found your apartment if you don't mind waiting months to get something fixed. Don't bother complaining it will fall on deaf ear and you won't be able to get a corporate number either the apt. manager doesn't give it out especially on request. If you don't mind a snide and huffy apt. manager you've found home at Garden Vale apt. P.S.
