This was my second ever half marathon, and my first Garden Spot! No blizzards this year, but windy... such a beautiful course, and the elevation for the half was only 655ft according to Strava, so it's a really doable course, and a doable challenge for those inexperienced with hills! The organization - from parking to food - is excellently run! The volunteers are fantastic!!! Thank you, volunteers!!! And great job by Pretzel City Sports on the timing!!! This is definitely one I will do again!
Very well organized. As a first time marathoner today, I was really impressed with how well prepared, enthusiastic and encouraging everyone was. It was really clear how much they cared about making this a great experience for the runners, and that was a huge help to a newbie like me. Thank you, GSV. Well done.
Even the wind and freezing temperature didn't stop the fun for my daughter! It was a great event (kids marathon) we plan to repeat next year!
So well organized, amazing volunteers, plenty of water stations, great medals!! Can't wait to test out the full marathon course this year after doing the half 3 times.
Simply beautiful even with (1 year ago) snow! It was a tad cold too! But, some runners prefer "cool" weather.
