Love the layout of the store. Their prices are reasonable also!
I love this place. I've shopped here since it was a little place. The staff is excellent. The food is fresh, you can find everything you need and stuff you didn't know you needed. If you are thinking of going the vegetarian route or vegan route you can find so many fantastic ingredients. I can spend all day there. I really wish this business a long life. Customer service can improve, but the variety of delicious food and products kind of compensate.
The customer service here sucks was in there this evening when my four uear old had to use the bathroom. I asked a worker if there was one. I was told tell a cashier so I did tjat was referred to the manager. This man looked me in my face and said well you know its not worth it someone would have to take you down stairs that takes time. Had he met me prior to having my son I would have cursed his ass out. I thanked him for nothing left my planned purchase and told my girlfriend I'd meet her outside. When my husband and I moved to the Riverdale section of the Bronx, one of my old neighbors told us this was the best market in the neighborhood. Well, they were right! They have everything! The produce section is amazing, the cheeses, the prepared foods fantastic! This is basically the only place we shop. I love the renovations they have done, the additions they have made. Just the perfect market.
Is like a mom and pop trader joes/whole foods - what's not to like? Great selection of cheeses, craft beer, organic juices, bread, vegetables, imported foods, and their hot food and "create your salad" sections are excellent. Yes it's a bit pricey but the food you find here is definitely better than what you find at Stop and Shop, FoodTown, Keyfood and other chains.
