You are despicable. Additionally, it is illegal to bar the handicapped and your reasoning - Our precious carpets might get dirty - is deplorable. You should be ashamed of yourselves AND you should lose your business license.

I'm absolutely disgusted that anyone would think this behavior is ok. Even if it was the decision of one employee, if your staff had any training for accommodating all people, this would not have happened. The idea that dirt on the carpet, which could be easily cleaned, was placed above simple consideration for this child is impossible to swallow.
To have treated someone who was in a wheelchair such a way...AND a child! This was no momentary lapse of reason! Disgusting and disrespectfull. I hope they fired those involved.
I can't imagine liking a place that values carpets more than people.
