I got a steak plate. The steak was incredibly chewy and looked like it had been boiled. I almost decided to leave when I realized how dirty the cooking equipment was but decided to push through since I already started ordering my plate when I noticed. This place needs a serious cleaning. The fryers and grills had grease caked all over them. I didn’t even want to touch the card reader because it was filthy.
Even though the two employees there were overworked, they kept a great attitude and delivered the delicious food I came for. Not usually a chain reviewer, but these two workers need a shoutout! Atmosphere is average, again, chain place. This is no reflection of the food though!
I hadn't been in since I moved 2 years ago (close to the restaurant). I used to eat Garbanzo's at least once a week. The parking lot was always jammed, there was always a line, the food was fresh, you could smell it walking in. Now 0 traffic, hardly anyone seated inside and everything looked stale. A guy in a dirty t-shirt was cutting meat and noticed me in line, no greeting, no free flaffel sample, right to what did I want.
