Unfortunately, she is very condescending and does not take women’s health seriously. Bad “Bedside” manner and acts as if taking care of women and their reproductive health is “not her job”, even though it literally is. Please be weary of using her. Had to go to urgent care for a second opinion because she acted as if my concerns were not valid. I am posting this for a friend because she fears repercussions and unfortunately has to continue to see this OBGYN until she can find a new one.
I took my teenage daughter to see Powell because she was having very irregular and painful periods. This was in spite of being on the birth control pills that had regulated her for several years. After we expressed our concerns, Powell simply said those symptoms can happen BECAUSE of the birth control pills and that she could give us some new ones or an implant.
