Dr. Gange inserted multiple urolift clips in my prostate in 2020. One of the clips penetrated the bladder wall during the procedure and he said he could not remove it. Urine frequency and urgency increased significantly more than it was prior to the procedure. I had to have that first one removed a year later. Since then, three additional urolift clips have penetrated the bladder wall and created stones in the bladder wall. Each time, it required surgery to remove each of the clips-stones. The 2 times he has done a ureteroscopy on me he left more than half of the stone in my kidney (the 2nd one was 1/2” x 1/4”, over 12 mm and took 2.5 WEEKS to pass with an overnight stay in the hospital for fluids/pain control), started passing about 1.5 hours after the stent was pulled. We argued in the O.R. about which side the stone was on so I couldn’t tell him that I don’t need a stent if the stone is gone. Failed after 18 months
My experience with the Urolift has been painful and moderately effective
Dr. Gange has an excellent bedside manner and possesses something you don't always find in the medical profession - common sense! I had Dr. Gange preform a Urolyft. I would have it done again in a minute. He explained thoroughly and simply. The procedure has had a significant impact on my quality of life. It is a pleasure to give him five stars!
Leaving a 1-star because you can not leave a ZERO star. Dr. Steven Gange was impatient, arrogant, unprepared for the appointment, and treated us as though he was doing us a favor by "working the appointment" on his calendar. This behavior happened not just once or twice but on three appointments. After the last one, we decided to research his ratings online to find out he has treated many people the exact same way. Very unprofessional and he has the worst bedside manner.

He is not too bad a doctor (I dont know, was seeing someone else), but he is a raging jerk to his staff. I heard him berating a nurse in the next room, and he was positively out of line. Would not recommend just based on the jerk factor, and that the dude needs to grow up.
An exceptional patient friendly thing Dr. Gange did was give us his direct line cell number. On a number of occasions we had serious questions and confronted situations that were beyond our capacity to deal with. In every case he answered our calls and gave us immediate help. No going through several clinic staff people to get to him. No "I will return your call in two days when I return to the clinic."
