I'm so dissapointed with Galyn's. They refused to give my family reservations for dinner. We have eaten at this restaurant for years and will never set foot in the place again. I will take my business elsewhere and everyone should do the same. They were so rude and condescending. Unbelievable!!!

Because lunch isn't nuts like dinner is. We tried to offer your family something -- after all, you mentioned that you're from Maine, it's a family trip, one lady has cancer, you've dined with us before. All kinds of reasons why we should try to accommodate you without also creating chaos for the restaurant (both in the kitchen and on the floor) during our busiest day-part. We stopped in to Galyn's today to make reservations for our annual family trip to Bar Harbor on October 21. We had a party of 6 and a party of 5. The person gave me the runaround about big parties but I informed him that we had two families that would be willing to sit separately. Now mind you, I made no reference as to who was in each family. He made me wait in the foyer while he went to talk to the owner/manager about whether or not they would accommodate us. After waiting for 10 or so minutes, he walked down the staircase... read more

Because of the pandemic, we have fewer tables, fewer options, and less staff. In order to serve all of our customers better and maintain the health (and sanity) of our staff, we are no longer accepting reservations for parties over 6, even if they are willing to split up. Thank you for considering dining at Galyn's, but we are unable to accommodate your party this season.

A wonderful time for our anniversary dinner. Our waiter Mark was wonderful! HIGHLY recommended!!!
Absolutely awful food. Not fresh. Low quality ingredients. Under seasoned. Would not be surprised if food was frozen/old. Would never come here again or recommend it to anyone. Wracked my brain for a worse meal and I can’t think of anything. Go anywhere else. We left wishing we were hungry and could go somewhere else! A truly regrettable meal.
