Galveston's Own Farmers Market is a community, first and foremost. We are a small market, but a beloved market for those visiting our unique island. We ensure all foods offered at both our markets are truly local and made with organic ingredients and natural methods. It is a family-friendly space featuring live music, kids activities (including arts & crafts, science experiments, storytimes, hula hoops, etc.) and sincere interest in making our community healthier, stronger and more connected.

While it lacks the size and sometime lacks in abundance of product (we are an island) it makes up for that with energetic staff and caring vendors. They have a loyal customer base with many of the same faces every week.

We love GOFM! I am so proud that Galveston has a fantastic farmers market for our community. It is so important to provide natural, organic, and local produce and other food/body items to the people. It feels right to nourish your body with locally grown food where you know where it is coming from. We love so many of the vendors and they are very friendly too! I was very disapponited with this went there and only like 5 booths expected a lot more and what they had there prices were very high

We're sorry you had such a bad experience Paula Campbell- Brumm. We always have 15-20 vendors, so I'm assuming your visit was before everyone was set-up, while it was being broken down, or perhaps on Easter when the market was smaller. Produce is comparable to organic prices at super markets, though sometimes a bit more. Like all small businesses, this is the reality of supporting local farmers. They aren't subsidized by the government. We do appreciate you coming to the market, though.

We recently relocated from SATX to Dickinson...so thankful to find a great farmers market nearby without having to drive into Houston! All the vendors are so friendly and willing to answer my questions. Keep up the great work and I look forward to you continuing to grow!
I love this place! The meat cuts are amazing and the fresh herbs were awesome as well.
Great people, great product. You've got to visit the "Tomato People" couple! They're fabulous :) you've got to get there a little earlier in the morning to get the best choice, people usually are rolling in full swig by 930.
