The staff are all exceptional, Doctors, Nurses, Clerks and law enforcement working together like a finely tuned engine. Top notch care from everyone, a "Diamond" within the Veterans Administration!
They never answer the phone for 3 days straight I've been calling and been on hold for 45 mins or more and no one picks up, not even to check the line. These people deserve to be fired for not doing their jobs. Update: I'm switching va's cause its the same problems no one answers the phone and I can't get a hold of my primary Dr in a timely manner. I'm currently trying to get ahold of them and have been waiting 30 min for them to pick up. They are really bad at answering their phones to the point where I usually drive down from League City to just talk to them. Also cannot chat with them via myhealthevet which is REALLY inconvenient.
Friendly staff. Made me feel welcomed and they answered my questions. Definitely my favorite VA place in the houston area now.
I am extremely disappointed with both the Galveston VA Clinic and the Houston VA system. The Galveston VA Clinic online states that it closes at 4:30 p.m. However, after waiting on hold for roughly 45 minutes to an hour before finally reaching someone, I was informed that the clinic actually closes at 4:00 p.m. If the phone availability hours are different from what is publicly posted online, that information needs to be corrected immediately so veterans are not wasting their time sitting on hold with no chance of assistance... read more
