Great burgers, beers, and ambience
We have enjoyed Galloway Grille in the past, however, we are not sure we will come back again after today. The kitchen was very slow. It took 45 minutes to get our breakfast meal. The sausage was cold. Eggs, toast and hashbrowns were so so.
I ordered food the cooks made the wrong kind then I had to wait a hole hour to get food, then had to pay full price was not happy today! Also ordered my niece a chocolate milk and it was watered down milk with next to no chocolate at all the waitress barley saw us while there I was disappointed for as much as I payed! Sorry!
The food was decent as well as the serve. Cozy and clean. Wasn’t wowed but wasn’t deterred from going again. Meh 🤷🏻♀️
Our waitress was super nice but the cooks don’t know what they’re doing. Ordered the steak and eggs, cheapest cut of steak I’ve ever had, completely cooked, tough, no seasoning not even salt and pepper, and they expected me to cut it with a butter knife. The hash browns and eggs were completely bland. I never write reviews but this place is a total waste of money. Spare yourself and eat somewhere else.
Must have a new chef. I use to love their pan fried walleye, but this time it was coated with a basic cornmeal powder, I was not impressed. In the past my babyred potatoes came in an olive oil mixture, this time they came without even butter. When I asked for butter, I got 4 ice cold packets. For $14.00 I did get two walleye fillets, but I only ate a 1/2 of one because I did not care for the coating. I can now cross this restaurant off my list for visiting for a good walleye dinner.
The food is generally excellent, good portions and always cooked to perfection. The kitchen staff must be excellent. Outside the kitchen is another story. The wait staff tends to ignore you, often takes a while to order even if the place is empty. Was very disappointed to find them closed on 4th of July, because their Facebook page says they are open, and I couldn't find any posts to indicate they would be closed. Brought my entire family down for a group dinner, and had to find another place for our meal. Must be poor manag... read more
Food is very good but I have yet to receive good service on any visit. Wait staff is slow and don’t check up on you for refills or to see if you need anything. If you’re not in a hurry, try it. But if poor service frustrates you, go somewhere else. Note: The Hostess on duty seemed to be the only staff member working very hard. She did a very nice job.
A friend and I were meeting up for brunch, she got there before I did and waited at the bar for about 5 minutes and was not acknowledged once. When I got there I waited by the host stand for about three minutes before anyone noticed we were waiting. We finally got a table, which we were surprised by how quickly we were able to sit. We got sat in the back, which was completely fine with us. However, we sat there for almost 15 minutes without anyone stopping by or acknowledging that we were there. A server came into the room 3... read more
