After reading my CT scan in the ER, he stated: "...you have _____ , and a large thickness that could be three different types of CANCER. Get a colonoscopy ASAP." Outrageous!! He's not an oncologist and to give a prognosis without verification is totally INAPPROPRIATE and created a great deal of anxiety thinking that I have cancer. I may have cancer, who knows, but it was not his right to make that statement, in the middle of the night in an ER! So arrogant and heartless.
Dr. Gallo was very kind, listened well, asked good questions, didn't make us feel rushed, and explained everything we needed to know. Definitely one of the better experiences I've had with an ER doctor.
Certainly lacking in the empathy department. Not sure if he’s jaded or what but an unpleasant experience nonetheless.
