We were staying at a hotel on Dupont Circle and utilized this stop a few times as it lets off near a ton of restaurants, shops, the Verizon Center, and at the east end of the National Mall near the US Capital. Like all of the other stops we experienced, the area was clean and felt safe. Unlike the stops of NYC, the DC stations are rather architecturally intriguing with great photo ops available. Just look around!

Gallery Place Metro is unbearable in the summer. The AC never seems to be working, it constantly feels like the heat is blasting, even on the hottest days. It’s like stepping into a sauna every time you enter the station. With the number of people passing through here daily, you’d think WMATA would prioritize basic ventilation and cooling. It’s uncomfortable, stuffy, and borderline unsafe during heat waves. This station seriously needs an HVAC overhaul.
