Absolutely terrible unresponsive company. They could care less about you after the sale is complete. Look at the slow development in their communities. Talk to some of the residents in these communities and you will get an earful of problems. Look at the Suffield Woods community which has some asphalt sidewalks and unenforced covenants with violations every where and gallagher and henry don t give a damn. Buyer Beware. Contact the Palos Township Highway Commissioner Gene Adams regarding this builders absolutely terrible reputation for dishonesty and shaddy dealings. Commissioner Adams has described Gallagher and Henry as controling an "illegal" homeowners association in the Suffield Woods subdivision. Commissioner Adams has also described this company as "wired" with Cook County officials allowing them to proceed with unsavory dealings. Has anyone had issues with G&H concrete? My entire subdivision in Lemont had to replace their driveways due to faulty material that was used. Those that reported cracks within their 1 year warrant had their driveway replaced for free, but those that didnt had to pay. In addition to my driveway issue, I just experienced some flooding in my basement that originated from cracks/holes in the foundation. You want quality construction? Hows this. They built the whole second floor, floor joints with moldy lumber. The wood looked like it was in a fire. I have pictures of the black mold and sent samples in for lab analysis. It was over 1200 squre feet of mold. The Analysis said I was in deep sheet. They then put on the upper floor boards on top of it! I was livid.... I called everyone I could think of. They stopped construction for 2 weeks before they pulled off the whole second floor flooring!! It looked like sheet! Now the hom... read more

Why cant you give 0 stars? Stay away from all G&H new construction. Its very simple. Look elsewhere. Horrible problems they refuse to fix, terrible craftsmanship, and the most horrible customer service I have ever experienced. The sales people have no concern for you. Do yourself a favor, and just look somewhere else. The proof is in these reviews, and they have them for a reason. Stay away!
I CAN SYMPATHIZE WITH YOU ON YOUR EXPERENCEWITH G&H,THEY THINK THAT THEIR THE BEST BUILDER IN THE WORLDIN THE 1970S THEY WERE ONE OF THE BEST BUILDERS AROUND,HARD WOOD FLOORS WERE STANDARD BUT THEY WOULD NOTEVEN CONSIDER DOING BUSINESS WITH A G.I. LOAN, ONE OF THE SAFEST LOANS AROUND. BUT GIVE THEM 10-20% DOWN ORSIGN A PROMISARY NOTE AND THEY WILL GIVE YOU ANYTHINGYOU WANT NOT NECESSARALY RIGHT BUT THEY WILL ATTEMPTTO PUT IT IN CORRECT, I THINK THEIR WORKERS HAVE TO MANYLIQUID LUNCHES.
