Good vibes, really bad food.

They were only moderately busy, server was not very attentive, and seemed to not be in a good mood. The rest of the staff were friendly and smiling. My plate came out well after the rest of my party was 3/4 finished. Server didn't check in, otherwise I would have asked to cancel my order. I ended up eating bits off of other people's plates and boxied my meal when it cane. Overall food was good, nice atmosphere and location.
Really wanted to love this place but when you get a core cultural element wrong, it’s hard for me to let it slide. The frisée & lardon salad may be close to one of the worst I’ve had; almost sent it back, but it had taken 45 minutes to get to me. Too salty, egg was overcooked, I don’t think balsamic has any place here (too sweet), lardons were bacon (NOT lardons), just like…not good. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Unpretentious atmosphere, absolutely delicious food at a great price, corner location with plenty of outdoor seating, friendly staff, great drink selection, it really checks all the boxes
