We've been taking our son to Dr. Takanti since he was born over eight years ago. He is healthy, but has had his share of ear infections, coughs, etc... I just love the fact that I can call her at the office and she answers the phone (or calls right back if I get her machine). She's great with our son and her advice is always thoughtful and conservative. She does have an accent, so I do have to listen closely when she speaks, but I trust her completely and give her a lot of credit for keeping her practice independent so she c... read more

We've been seeing Dr. Takanti for a year and a half now, since we moved to Virginia. When I first got here, we needed to find a pediatrician quickly, and every doctor who was recommended by neighbors and new friends was completely booked and couldn't do school physicals on short notice. We started coming here when my oldest son was around 4 months old. His previous practice was constantly overrun with patients and the doctors would leave you waiting in the exam room in excess of 40 minutes beyond the initial appointment time before they would see you. We stumbled upon Dr. Takanti's practice and have been seeing her ever since. Yes, she is a small practice. But she is patient and timely - I've NEVER had to wait beyond our appointment time.
