Worst mistake our subdivision developer made was to require all lot owners install the same brown-color GAINES Keystone mailbox. Beautiful when new, but paint (powder coat?) quickly fades and become a dull/chalky-colored eyesore. They require a lot of work to maintain the shine and not all residents can do it. Maybe Gaines could apply a UV-protection clear coat? Also a cast aluminum platform the heavy mailbox sits on breaks easily and the cost of all replacement parts is outrageous.
