Absolutely the best ! Dr. Mateer was very helpful with the questions I had and the staff was great!
5 years ago, I had my daughter in Sept 2020 at Oak Hill hospital. I have kept this to myself for a while. But recent events have me thinking back on how I was misdiagnosed with Hepatitis B here. I was told, first, by Dr Mateer. When tested a second time, I was called by a nurse and told once more that I was, in fact, positive. It wasn’t until after my child was born and already had the Hepatits B Immunoglobin shot (which btw is different & separate from the regular Hepatitis B vaccine - it is for Hepatitis B positive mothers... read more
Dr Mateer is the best. I had a terrible birth experience with my first and I went to Mateer when I found out I was pregnant with my second, overall such a positive experience having her as my doctor. She actually cares for you. Also the staff and the midwives are all amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Mateer and her office! Dr Mateer delivered my first baby. I felt safe and comfortable in her care from pregnancy through postpartum care. I transferred to her office mid-pregnancy and will definitely stay with her for gynecology and future pregnancies. Dr. Mateer was very thorough while going through my records from my previous doctor, listened and answered all my questions and concerns, and was very supportive with my "birth wishes/preferences."
