I came in with a 2011 Volvo XC-70 and the technician said they didn't carry the oil filter for it and I would have to buy one myself. So I went to Advance Auto Parts and paid $16.01 for one. When I returned the technician told me she could not offer a discount on the standard (non-European) synthetic oil change fee even though I had to supply the oil filter.
