I am very disappointed in the care that this hospital is giving my older sister. She came in on Friday night with a broken hip. It is now Sunday morning and still waiting for surgery. They are telling me that they are waiting for clearance from cardiac the same thing I was told yesterday. The hospital needs to push the cardiac team to get the test done and make a decision so that she can have the surgery and get on the road to recovery. Somebody is not doing their job.
Hospital Gadsden Regional Medical Center is the only place I will go for health treatment. I was born in this hospital when it was the Baptist hospital and I gave birth to my own child in the same hospital.
RecommendedI was recently admitted to GRMC due to COVID related complications. Even though the staff, from the ED to the COVID floor, were stretched beyond comprehension each and every one provided excellent care and had a few minutes to just chat. This was important in combating the isolation felt not being able to have visitors or even the ability/energy to walk in the hallway. Thankful for my great service today. From admitting Dept for outpatient surgery to all involved until my release Everyone so nice and caring and accommodating. Thankful for my doctor getting me worked in to get the problem taken care of. I definitely recommend this hospital
after waiting over 4 hrs with cardiac symptoms that had been diagnosed at an urgent care center and they sent me to ER I Left. If it had been a heart attack I would be dead. very poorly operated ER.

Had a wonderful experience for my annual mammogram today at GRMC Women’s Imaging Center! It was super convenient, I was out in less than 30 minutes! Leanna was amazing! She was so kind and informative! Can’t imagine going anywhere else!

I’m sad to say that our experience with GRMC has continued to be a negative one over the past several years. While the doctors and nurses work hard to treat the patients, they apparently do not get the final say. It seems like the insurance companies and the case managers hold all of the power, and they rule with little compassion and consideration for the patient. Gadsden Regional is a joke!! They have 2 different styles of thermometers that they are using to check temps. The one on the wall read mine to be 99.7. Got told to sit down and would recheck in a few. Rechecked again with same thermometer, showed same thing. I DEMANDED to be checked by the hand held one. It read 96.7. I sat there for 10-15 minutes that I could have been seeing my brother. I pointed out the discrepancy between the 2 thermometers, head of security got smart...so I got smart back. went through Gadsden regional for my labor and birth. They are so kind their all the nurses and doctors. I especially liked the nurse and doctor that delivered my son. I highly recommend Dr. Phillips for delivery and throughout pregnancy. He is so experienced in what he does. I had complete confidence in him and my nurse
