This man saved my leg with a fasciotomy that he did when I came into the emergency room with compartment syndrome. After 3 days of sitting in the ICU with my pulse getting weaker he gave me a phone call at about 10:00 p.m. and told me that he was going to come in and do surgery on me later in the evening. He did and after a long month and a half long stay in the hospital with numerous wound care nurses coming in twice a day and two extra surgeries I came out of the hospital with my leg intact and working. The individual in charge of the referrals doesn’t care in following with the patient. There is no communication so if the referral doesn’t meet the requirements they just disregard it. Make sure you call them again and again until you get an appointment.
