A friend of mine was in the hospital for a few days and originally under his care. He treated them in the most disrespectful way, using dismissive and derogatory language to describe their condition without really putting much thought into their care. He also had disrespectful comments towards the nurses. There is absolutely no reason to treat anyone. This doctor needs to have training on respectful and helpful bedside manner. I had a friend in the hospital and this doctor treated her with some of the most disgusting care I’ve ever seen in healthcare. He had absolutely no compassion for her situation, and was using derogatory terms to describe her medical condition that are outdated to use. I believe he needs remedial education on how to appropriately care for all patients, as well as how he talks to nursing staff.
I had the worst experience with this doctor today than I have ever had with any medical professional in my life. Our family is trying to handle our beloved mother’s end-of-life care, and had questions for the doctor. As a patient, while being treated at St. Luke’s, Boise, I was extremely appalled by the lack of dignity shown to the individuals under this physicians care. I was personally treated with complete disregard, and even felt uncomfortable in the same room as Doctor, Gabriel E. Valle Eger. He was not only rude and brash, but did not advocate for me as a patient, or for my care.
