Highly, highly recommend Emalee as a therapist, she has a gift for making you feel heard and understood. She’s guided me through a thoughtful process of identifying what I need and creating a plan that feels achievable. It seems like each session builds on the last in a meaningful way. I couldn’t be more optimistic about my progress because even in tough times these days, I am so encouraged about the present and the future and I am so glad I’ve made this CBT therapy part of my process.

Emalee is unprofessional, consistently late to her sessions (with no prior communication), and can be rude. I felt like she was biased and always called me out during sessions. I began disconnecting from her, which is the opposite you want to do with your therapist. She gave a few solid advice, but I never really felt safe with her, and sometimes it felt out of reach. I have previously gone to other therapists before finding Emalee and always felt like something was missing, I didn't feel like I was getting the most out of therapy and felt like things were stagnant and was struggling daily. I cannot and will not recommend Emalee. While she gave me a couple good pieces of advice (hence the two stars and not one), the rest of our sessions were filled with invalidation and oversharing on her end. My previous therapist stopped taking my insurance so I was in a bit of a bind, but I gave it a few sessions because I was in a vulnerable position and needed therapy.
