Dr. Abella has performed multiple spinal injections for me, and his expertise is unparalleled. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, meticulous, and took the time to be sure I fully understood every aspect of the treatment, before proceeding. He is the ONLY physician I trust to perform these procedures.
Didn’t listen to the concerns at all. Very arrogant and rude. I complained about not being able to sleep due to pain but he said that all his patients are that bad so he can’t help it. Cut me off so many times and didn’t let me complete. Do not recommend.
Wish I could 0 star recommend, how dare this ‘Dr’ throw out a random CANCER diagnosis to a NEW PATIENT??? HELLO MEDICAL REVIEW BOARD! Worse ‘Dr’ I have EVER SEEN.
I have been seeing Dr. Abella for several years for a work related back injury. He is very patient and understanding. I would not go anywhere else. I think we finally got the right combination of physical therapy and medicine so my pain is tolerable and I will trust any decision he thinks is best for me in the future.
Dr. Abella is the best. He took his time; listened and really helped me. I recommend Dr. Abellla highly.
I've known Dr. Aella as a colleague for years. Needed his skill to treat chronic sciatica. The fluoroscopy guided epidural was seamless. A real pro, had complete relief within 24 hrs. I read the reviews; I seek a professional who is well trained and efficient, his personality is that of a no nonscience physician who is there to do a good job, and that he does. Thanks Gabe Dr. P
Very brief and to the point. He explained what was wrong and what we were going to very well, albeit in a short manner. Hes not trying to be your buddy or listen to you go on and on about your symptoms. I would imagine in his line of work that the imaging tells him what he needs to know.
Dr Abella gave me 2 epidural injections and I'm 100% better now! He was so good at it that I didn't feel the injections much. He explained everything to me in detail and clearly knows what he's talking about. I trust him completely and would go back to him for any spine problem.
Didn't take the time to actually consider my unique symptoms. Had me do some simple stretches, couldn't find a trigger, then makes a judgement call based on a year-old MRI that doesn't necessarily correlate with symptoms. Tells me not to do anything to aggravate symptoms, even though anything that isn't lying down aggravates it. Didn't offer any substantial advice on how I might remedy symptoms. Very cyncical, even though people much worse off than me have recovered from similar injuries.
