That’s just how he is. If your looking for sympathy, you better find another doctor. The man is str8 to the point. He is professional but he isn’t the only doctor in the network, so if he doesn’t fit your needs try someone from across the hall.
I saw some of the negative reviews of Dr. Fylstra but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. I wish I would have listened to the reviews and cancelled my appointment with him. He was uninterested in what I had to say. He was very cold and uncaring. He did not seem to really want to help me and brushed me off into doing a research study that will not really fix my problem. I will not be seeing him again unless I pass him in the hallway while I see one of his colleagues.
Dr. Fylstra is awesome!! He is very nice and understanding. I totally recommend you see him I had a awesome experience. Especially if your in a wheelchair!!! He's got Best Doctor In America posted in his office!!!
Dr. Flystra has terrible bedside manner and seems very insensitive to the severity of gynecological issues that women face. He is quite knowledgeable about appropriate measures to take for diagnosing patients. However, he has absolutely no desire to develop relationships/rapport with his patients. Schedule an appointment with a different OB/GYN within the practice if you can (I recommend Dr. Gweneth Lazenby)
I wish i could write 2 reviews b/c the office staff is great. Dr. Fylstra is clearly competent & knowledgeable. However his bedside manner is negligently awful. If you have a procedure he does not explain what he is doing as he is doing it, he seemed to be annoyed when I had an emotional response to a painful procedure & when we sat down to talk he was on the computer the whole time. A coworker had a similar experience with him. Do yourself a favor and see someone else!
