UPDATE: WARNING!! DO NOT BUY AND HAVE CARPET INSTALLED FROM FWS!!!! Speaking for my 80-year old mother: After the WORST possible rug installation (whole house), it took several calls and weeks before FWS finally came back to fix their mistakes. To give you an idea how bad the installation was, the guy who came to fix it stretched the carpet and trimmed off several 30-gallon plastic bags FULL of rug scraps cut off from the stretching! Good place and price I bought a sectional from the store on elmwood. They will definitely negotiate. I got over $300 off of the asking price. I thought delivery fee was way to high. Over $90 bucks but I couldnt fit it in my car.
Constantly on Backorder I ordered a recliner for my father who is 82 on 12/20/11, it was supposed to be a christmas gift. I was told 6-8 weeks, by Paul. We figured the end of Febuary, and we would have the recliner. We have called numerous times and been told repeatedly that it was due in a couple of weeks, well now it is April 5th and I still have no delivery date, or a phone call with one. I've had better, I've had worse I placed an order for a chair on Sept 1, 2011. The salesman told me it would take 6 - 8 weeks. At 8 weeks i called the store and asked my salesman where my chair was. He told me that he had said "8-10 weeks" which I remember clearly was not said, but ok fine, we've waited this long. 10 weeks has come and gone, indeed we are up on 11 weeks in 2 days. WARNING! Do NOT buy or have rug installed by FWS!!! My mother bought a large house full of wall-to-wall carpeting from this company. The carpeting had flaws in it. But the worst, I repeat, WORST thing was the way it was installed!! It was loose in many places, you can see where the imprint of rows of nails are--in essence, it was the worst installation could you ever imagine. FWS won't honor their warranties. We bought a bedroom set for our daughter and the saleman talked us into purchasing a warranty to cover any damage. He specifically mentioned nail polish remover damage. Two years later our daughter did spill nailpolish remover on the dresser. We contacted the warranty company who is out of business, so we contacted FWS to find out how we were going to get our furniture repaired. They refused to help us in any way saying it wasn't their problem. They are the ones that we paid, not Stainsafe. ... read more
Fws-Factory Warehouse Sales is Outstanding! I was in the Transit road location on Tuesday night, I was blown away. Such a great selection and great prices. A very nice man went out of his way to help me with looking for a certain rug. When I asked to speak to the Manager to tell him how helpfull he was, he said he was the manager. It was so nice to finally go into a store where the people know the product and take the time to help you. I was in there for over 1 hour, and he went over everything from stock to special orders. ... read more
The Factory Warehouse is FWS is a furniture store that has a lot of character. While it's not a beautifully accomodated showroom experience like some other places it has the virtue of offering a wide selection and some things you're not likely to see at a more traditional chain in a place that's not quite as cavernous or artificial. This also means that sometimes the layout isn't quite ideal--too many pieces cramped together, etc. But on the whole the unique selection outweighs any small inconveniences.
