I'm writing this the day after my mother's cataract surgery to provide my absolute highest recommendation of Dr. Zhang. Mom commented so many times on how during the surgery, he talked slowly and calmly to tell her precisely what he was going to do, what to expect, and how long it would be. She stated she never felt any pain, and all of the anxiety she had going into the procedure was unwarranted. First appointment with Dr. Zhang, MD, Opthomologist, Henry Ford Optholmology located on Eureka Rd in Taylor was today, April 13, 2026. Extremely thorough and competent intake as a new patient. Testing with numbing drops and dilating drops was performed by professional technicians before being seen by Dr. Zhang. Photos were taken as well of my eyes straight through to the backs of the eyes to gather a comprehensive picture of everything that could be going on. Very rude to me…..I blinked and flinched after dilation and he said he couldn’t do my cataract surgery and maybe I should go elsewhere! I will never go back to that location.
This Dr. Is a joke. He told me he would not do a cataract surgery now. I get that. But three times, he talked to his assistant about patients chewing gum before surgery. Just tell them to throw out the gum... also, I felt he didn't talk directly to me. When I asked questions, he wanted me to read it in the visit printout. I'm here because I can't see very well but sure I'll read it. LOL. wants me to come back in six months. No, thank you. Dr Zhang and his staff are excellent. They're very thorough, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. They're very organized as well since there's never long wait times which I appreciate.
