I had the pleasure of working with Peter from Future Sound, and I couldn't be more impressed. He took the time to walk me through all the amplifiers and speakers, sharing his deep passion and expertise. I walked into the store on a Saturday, and thanks to Peter, I walked out as an extremely happy customer with an amazing setup. I was looking for new speakers after one of my Apogee Duetta Signature speakers died. RIP. On my short list of speakers to audition were Magnepan 1.7is. I thought it was kind of strange to make an appointment to schedule an audition, but after going through the process it makes sense. If you want to listen to a specific pieces of equipment other things might have to be disconnected, moved, and set up properly. In this way things are ready to go when you get there. I've worked with Peter on two separate occasions where he has helped me pick an integrated amplifier with two floor-standing speakers and two bookshelf speakers (for different rooms) and then upgrade the amplifier and add two REL subwoofers to my main speakers.
