Lumina was going to be a 5 star review, I was so excited to write it. Until they scammed me. Everyone I recommended to come to Lumia has received a call and I rescinded my recommendation. While I’ll need to settle my case in court, I urge everyone to double check the math, Lumina presents you with one number and hides the real truth in the fine print. I’m disappointed, I really thought I found a gemstone of a company. Don’t trust a word you are told. Just so disappointed Lumina, so disappointed.
I had a fabulous experience working with Lumina. I worked with Gabriel Shabtai who was supremely patient with me and incredibly helpful as I was ironing out the system I wanted to build. Furthermore, Lumina stood by their customers in the face of the expiration of the Federal tax credits related to solar installations. Our experience with Lumina Solar has been extremely disappointing. The biggest issue has been the lack of accountability when serious problems occurred on a system that was less than two years old. We experienced a major electrical failure involving a burned wire due to a nick in it during installation. The burnt wire ran the entire length of the conduit from the roof to the electrical panel. "Approximate Completion Date: 150 Days from Contract Signing" Well, that came and went in April, and as of writing this it's June 4 and I'm still potentially a month away from having a solar system that I can turn on. I signed on November 17, Lumina sat on my (3 hour) install until April 17 and cost me $15,000 in remibursement from the state, seven months of loan payments and higher utility bills.
