The Best Nursery! Furneys is located in Des Moines and is a wonderful nursery! They have tons of plants and decor for your garden. They are also the most helpful and knowledgeable staff I have seen at a nursery! PROS: So many different plants to choose from! CONS:
Good but Pricey Furneys offers high quality plants and garden accessories. Pricing can be higher than other nurseries in the area. The staff is very good and seems genuinely interested in helping you to succeed as a gardener. This is one place where the trade off of a higher price for better service really pays off. Selection is sufficient, although they tend to focus on smaller plants and greenhouse items. They do carry some larger shrubs and trees but selection is less than at other nurseries
Great plants For plants in the south end, this is a great place. Not inexpensive, but definitely high quality plants and they know what they are talking about and can help you with just about anything.
Furneys Nursery The place in King County to buy all your plants, trees, shrubs etc. All the staff is very knowledgeable and will help you pick plants or flowers that will work best in your yard. Not the lowest prices around but your paying for quality. They have good coupon deals too!
Great South End Nusery If you live in Kent, Des Moinse, Burien, then you already know the wonderful plants and support available from Furneys. They are a bit on the expensive side, however, there is no doubt that you will get very good quality plants. PROS: Good quality, nice selection, very knowledgeable service CONS: a bit expensive
So Disappointed! I've shopped Furneys for many years and have watched a slow decline in the last three years. Today was a major disappointment with a simple purchase of a bamboo. The bamboos were jammed behind a bench, making it virtually impossible to check any prices. Very few had name tags and fewer yet had prices. I finally had to have one of there help take an unmarked specimen to the counter where I waited for some one to identify and then price the plant. why the dual image on the sign? i first noticed the image of the evil clown or skull located above the neon sign in front of furney's last december. i first thought my eyes were deceiving me, but every person that has traveled through that area with me since has seen the same image i do. if you are passing by the nursery after dark, north or southbound, and if you're more than 10 yds. from that sign, and if it is after dark, look at the picture above the neon letters, and tell me you see a woman pruning her plants.
